A Letter to Me

Dear Younger Me,

Take a deep breath, honey. In through the nose and out through the mouth. I know it's not how you planned things. But remember? You're trying to become more flexible. Everything is going to workout. And soon you will have a sweet baby boy! He's going to be restful and a comfort for you.

You won't get fat. You will lose all the baby weight after. Stop psyching yourself out about what you don't know and instead research and learn about your options. You'll end up going for the epidural but you won't need it. You are so much stronger than you give yourself credit for in these moments.

Relax. I won't lie the next two months are going to be insane rough on you. You're going to lose a lot of weight, and a lot of friends and it's all going to be ok. I promise that soon you will be able to eat whatever you want and keep it down. Except for movie popcorn, stay clear of that one!  You are going to change so much on this journey. You will find loving soulmates to be with you and understand you. You will witness the joy and pain of giving the gift of life. You will be a nervous wreck the first month and a half.

But right now. Breathe. Take one day at a time. That's all you can handle even if you weren't pregnant. Before I go, you should know that the man sitting right next to you in the car is amazing. He is the best of the best. He loves you with his whole heart. He's not going anywhere. You think you love him now? Wait til you see him with the son you're going to give him. You will fall in love so hard all over again. So kiss him, he's stressed but he's perfect.

Now. Go take a bubble bath. Read a few good books. Close your eyes. He is safe in your womb. You are going to be a great mom, if I do say so myself. Have fun. Breathe. Love with all your might.

Xxx,
Older Me
